This piece is an imagined dried up Duddon estuary. It came about from of a desire to consider how the landscape is changing; how it has already changed; and how it might change in the future. With mass deforestation, flooding and desertification sweeping the world, our horizons are not as permanent as they feel.
It's the feeling we get when we visit ancient monuments, seeing their desolation and their vibrant past crumbling.
